Whitianga is 2 1/2 hours from Auckland, via Thames and Tairua: From the airport head south to the southern motorway and Hamilton, turn left onto SH2, then take SH25 on the left to Thames/ Coromandel. After crossing on a long, traffic light controlled one way bridge, turn right at the next junction and follow the signs to Tairua and after that to Whitianga. From here follow the signs to Coromandel until you come to the beach. Go left at Buffalo Beach Road, then left again into Centennial Drive. Drive up to the top, on the little roundabout go straight ahead, we are No. 145 on the right.
